Before & After Waterfall Project
A few months ago, this backyard was a quiet slope rising behind the home. Today, it is something else entirely. Before you even see it, you hear it.
Our team recently completed a 75 foot pondless water feature that flows naturally down the hillside, designed to feel as though it has always belonged to the landscape. Built with local fieldstone, each rock was carefully placed to create a natural rhythm and organic movement from top to bottom.
One of the most important design priorities was the view from inside the home. The layout was carefully planned so the homeowners could experience the stream from the kitchen, living room, and bedroom. This project was not only about building a water feature. It was about creating a daily experience through sight, sound, and thoughtful design.

Pond Cleanout with Biofalls Trouble | What We Found
In this cleanout, we tackled a full pond refreshâclearing debris, cleaning the Biofalls, and fertilizing water lilies to get everything ready for the season. đżđ
Along the way, we discovered an issue with the Biofalls system that will need to be replaced. While we got everything cleaned up and looking great for now, weâll be coming back to complete that repair (no footage of that part this time).
Itâs a great reminder that sometimes during a cleanout, you uncover bigger issuesâbut catching them early keeps your pond running smoothly long-term.
Cleaning a Pond with Fish + Exciting Spawning Signs
This pond cleanout comes with a little extra excitementâfish are in the pond and showing signs of spawning! đ During spring, fish become more active, so itâs important to clean carefully while keeping them safe and stress-free.
In this video, we walk through the process of cleaning out debris, improving water quality, and working around active fish, all while spotting those early spawning behaviors.
Itâs a great look at how to maintain a healthy pond during one of the busiest times of the seasonâand what to watch for as your fish start their spring routines.
